Well that's it. All the eggs thrown into the basket known
as the Iraq war have hatched. It's been a slow bleed for the Democrats
beginning in September with the testimony of general Petraeus. John
Murtha, fresh off his tour of Baghdad finally put the anti war Democrats
out of it's misery by proclaiming " The surge is working". I wonder if he warned
Nancy Pelosi and Harry Ried about this before he made his thoughts public.
Isn't it funny how the only Democrats saying the surge is not
working are the ones that have never been there? I know Harry Ried has not
been there. At least since the Surge was enacted yet he still continues to
claim defeat. The left has been ever so proud to trot out Vietnam Vet John
Murtha to justify their own lack of confidence in our military. Now what
will they do?
Well Harry Ried answered that for me. He has since
claimed that in spite of Murtha's comments that the surge is still not
working. If the Democrats continue to use that as the reason to deny
funding the election in 2008 will be a disaster.
