When the American soldiers and the allies finally triumph in Iraq, When they return home I assume the Liberals in this country will not celebrate. I assume the Democrats will not offer any congratulations to them. I assume they will have the decency not to wave a flag and say "Yay! We Won!"

I assume Wolf Blitzer will not do a special "Situation Room" documenting the inevitable American triumph. I Assume Keith Olberman will not acknowledge our triumph but do another segment on Bill O'Rielly instead. I assume Katie Couric will not do a piece on the victory deciding instead to do an extended piece on the number of casualties.

I hope the dumbest man in the Senate, Dick Durbin will not issue a statement of congratulations but continue to compare the victory in Iraq to the withdraw in Vietnam.

Why?

They don't deserve to. They don't deserve to join in the celebration of our soldiers coming home. They don't deserve to stand proudly with the rest of America when Iraq says "Thank you". And they certainly do not deserve to mourn the losses we have incurred.

From day one all they have done is demand the opposite of what Bush proposed. They obstructed, lied, switched positions and politicized the war for the simple reasons that they hate The President and put power ahead of country. They have called the soldiers names, accused them of unconscionable acts, and flatly declared they cannot win. They have leaked secret programs to the press and have tried to impeach the president during war time simply because he is trying to protect the country.

They voted to send the troops to Iraq and now want to vote to cut their legs out from under them.

While all this was going on they never once gave us an alternative plan except to surrender.

For this reason I hope they remain silent when we finish the job...
