| Why have Democrats chosen to highlight their
opposition to the nation's largest employer? For reasons beyond this writer bashing Wal-Mart has become a sort of sport with the Elites in the Democratic party. one can see why when you listen to Barney Franks plan to limit CEO pay. The left simply hates Capitalism. You can't have Utopia and Capitalism. The most prosperous societies contain haves and have nots. When you try to correct that you have...communism in it's purist form. The Liberals are always claiming they speak for the little man. They do this from their gala luncheons and $1000 a plate functions that are held to show their support for. You got it. The little man. The cruel Irony is that it is the little man who shops at Wal-Mart. The Left has not considered this. Or they don't really care. Mrs. Pantsuit has been railing against Wal-Mart even though she was on the board of directors. John Edwards, the latest to announce his intentions to run for the top job held a press conference outside Wal-Mart denouncing everything about the place while his people were inside trying to secure an X BOX for his kid. After lunch he moved to Barnes and Noble for a book signing ignorant to the fact that BN pays it's employees less that Wal-Mart. This all may sound trivial but the question remains why do they hate Wal Mart? Simple. The hate the common man. The left which is always crying about the economical divide has done little to actually bridge the gap between the haves and the have nots. To be fair you can't in a true capitalist society. They should however have wiped out poverty 30 years ago. They controlled Congress for 60 years they had all the money they needed but still we have poor people and apparently it is George Bush's fault. War on poverty. Sounds nice but the war is a failure. You need to give the people skills, not a handout. So the left which professes to be for the little man is going to make it difficult for the little man to shop at Wal-Mart when the little man needs to and benefits from Shopping at Wal-Mart. Looking out for the little guy.... -Bert |
