THE LEFT NEEDS A FEW REAL VICTORIES

Another blow to the left and I fear dear reader that the barring a total GOP meltdown the Democrats will not regroup enough to have any real success in November. Karl Rove will not face any indictments in the ever increasingly dusty Valerie Plame affair. Surprise!!! Not surprised? most of us aren't. I'm not a lawyer and I rarely play one on television but I do have enough common sense that if Fitzgerald hadn't found any evidence after 2 1/2 years, the chances are very slim he will find any at all. Yet the Lamestream media, the far fruity blogsphere and the Democratic party spent months viewing Roves inevitable indictment, prosecution and public execution as victory for Liberals. Well they didn't win and not only did they not win but Rove has been cleared just in time to steer the impotent GOP to another election win in November. GOP 1 DNC 0 Culture of corruption, Culture of corruption, Culture of corruption. That is all I have heard from Polident Pelosi and the left for months. This was their platform, and this was their ticket to the majority come November. If you look back dear reader a few months I advised that this was a risky move. All the Left needed is on Democrat to be accused of ethics problems and their platform is dead in the water. Well we had a plethora of Democratic ethics problems. John Conyers treats his office as a personal daycare center, Cynthia McKinney believes in beating up Capitol Hill police, William Jefferson is caught on tape accepting 100,000 dollars in bribes and shoved it in his freezer and in a wonderful twist in irony the head of the ethics committee Alan B. Mollohan (D W.Va.) had to step down because of....ethics problems. Let's not forget Harry Reid’s accepting free boxing tickets...This Republican culture of corruption involves Duke Cunningham, and....well that's it. Tom Delay? What has he done? The charges in Texas spring from a Democratic operative who charged him with things that are not against the law, His so called ties with Abramoff went nowhere. Abramoff himself said Delay wasn't involved in anything illegal. And speaking off Abramoff where are all the Republican names he was supposed to cough up? Bob Ney in Ohio is yet to be charged with anything. It never got off the ground. And the DNC has more ethics problems then the GOP. Everyone can see that. GOP 2 DNC 0 Haditha. The Lefts attempt at another Abu Gahraib Have been overshadowed by the news of Al Zarqawi's death. I am not saying it should not be reported but the left has crowned itself judge, jury, and executioner. The Marines have been convicted before the investigation gets underway. It seems Innocent until proven guilty does not apply to Conservatives or the military. They have tried their dandiest to make it political and have failed. they failed with Abu Gahraib and have failed again. All the American public wants is a fair trial and those quilt to be punished accordingly. That is it. The military is not Republican or Democrat. They are the ones who keep us safe. GOP 3 DNC 0 Yes it has been a year since Hurricane Katrina but 'tis the season once again and that will bring back the old talking points that President George Bush was personally responsible for the mess in New Orleans. It's difficult for the left to point to Michael Brown when he had become a media darling as a man who was unfairly (by them) blamed. Once you heard him speak and saw the satellite meetings it became clear that he was in the loop and he was acting accordingly. America is not stupid. Therefore America knows that New Orleans had decades to fix the levees they knew to be weak. Hurricane Katrina will come up again but it will not affect the results in November. GOP 4 DNC 0 Then there is my favorite. The NSA wiretapping debacle. Debacle for Democrats, not us. American's are behind the president on this. The true polls show this. I say true polls as in polls that ask if they support Bush spying on suspected terrorists. Not ones that ask if they approve of Bush spying on their grandmother. The charges never had any merit and the Democrats know it. The precedent alone destroys their charges. But what makes them look so stupid the difference between what they say and what they do. Example, they all demanded impeachment. but when a censure motion brought forth by Feingold appeared they ran away. Feingold himself didn't stay when he brought it to the floor. He left the building! brilliant!. And then Bush nominates the man who actually designed the program to run the CIA and he past with no trouble. The Democrats allowed the man who designed the program they believe Bush should be impeached for to gain control of the CIA. Slight anomaly? Only the far left fruits and some of the more paranoid Libertarians believe Bush is involved in domestic spying. The rest of us who live outside fantasyland believe we are at war. War needs intelligence. Intelligence is something Democrats lack. By continuing to criticize the program the continue to look week on security. GOP 5 DNC 0. I am having a hard time seeing what they deem to be victories. Each one of these issues blew up in thir face. At the end of the day we are still asking the same question.
