| I'm a little worried about Patrick Leahy. His outburst Thursday
morning suggests near apoplectic anger. obviously the result of six years
of liberal steaming. George Bush is public enemy number one and his defeat
of the Prophet Al Gore doomed him to this position. Democrats, being the
arrogant sods they are figured because George Bush does not speak well in
public they could have him impeached within 48 hours of his swearing
in. Six years on they are still throwing mud. The problem is that no one takes them seriously as a party anymore. Code Pink is stalking Nancy Pelosi. Cindy Sheehan is stalking Hillary Clinton, the daily KOS has Harry Ried shitting himself daily. Even the mainstream Media has it's private giggles since Pelosi and company held their now infamous news conference were no one knew what decade their plan called for them to withdraw from Iraq. This latest blowup involving the 8 fired attorneys is just another prime example. You can't demand hearings and subpoenas simply because you have a maniacal hatred for the President. Neither can you demand testimony under oath if you think somewhere at sometime someone may have committed a crime. Arlen Specter hardly a Bush cheerleader said it best. Lets have the hearings as the President asked and if we hear anything we don't like we ask for subpoenas". Credibility is the issue here and the Democrats have none. The claim that the firings were political speaks volumes in their warped thinking. Of course they were political. The President appoints them based on the recommendations by home state politicians. It is political. Bush Drew a line in the sand again. And once again the Democrats have tripped over it by overplaying their hand. -Bert |
