I believe
most Democrats are shaking their heads in disbelief right now. They are or
they should be ashamed to be Democrat. The attempted character
assassination of Judge Alito was beyond irresponsible. We have come to
expect desperate acts from the left. We know that the majority of
Democrats made their minds up the day President Bush Announced him as the
replacement to Sandra Day O'Conner. But this was simply beyond the pale.
What was on day one a humorous look at Democratic tactics today had
escalated and was no longer amusing. He was accused of not answering the
questions. He wasn't asked any! The Democrats used their time to
pontificate and tell Alito how they think he should answer their
questions. Biden used 26 of the 30 minutes allotted to him yesterday to
speak aimlessly and then complained to Chris Mathews on "Hard up" that he
didn't answer his questions...there was only one! Yesterday it was established very quickly that Alito's affiliation with CAP was both limited and inconsequential. the groups racial views were not those of Alito and Alito himself said he was not aware of their ideals nor does he himself subscribe to them. Unfortunately for us that subject came up time after time after time. If he had some sort of paper trail leading to this organization I am sure Kennedy, Schumer and their aides would have secured them. Heck they secured Michael Steele's social security number and credit report didn't they? No one really believes President Bush's team would have overlooked a glaring problem like racist tendencies so they are in effect beating a dead horse with an even deader llama. No one expected him to answer the Abortion question and their are two... One: How would he rule on abortion? Two: What is his personal views on Abortion? Neither can or should be answered. Roe v Wade will come before him and these hearings are supposed to establish whether or not a judge can rule by the constitution and not personal views. Why should the rules be changed for Alito? By the way ABORTION IS NOT THE ONLY ISSUE! If it was then it would be the Supreme Abortion Court and not simply the Supreme Court. Lets Go back to the CAP. Concerned citizens of Princeton. Teddy Kennedy was so wrapped up in this that he demanded that Arlen Spectre the head of the judiciary Committee stop the proceedings so they can vote on subpoenaing CAP records Let it go. No matter how much you want him to be a racist making his wife cry will not make him one. Now the Democrats are lucky. Mrs. Alito simply cried and left My girlfriend would have run across and hopped on them and beat them Republican. At what point do you forgo civility? You cannot expose your opponents weaknesses so you insult him and make slanderous accusations? Chuck Schumer asked Alito several times yesterday about abortion. and three times today. He then asked about CAP Several more times. I was always taught that not remembering a person's name means you do not care. Kennedy who obviously has all his notes and questions prepare for him refereed to the Judge as Alioto yesterday. If he had been doing his homework for the past 12 weeks he would have not forgotten his name. but Kennedy does not do any work. It was obvious when Alioto would interrupt his spiels to correct him. Kennedy would get stuck and stutter you see because you deviated from the script Kennedy has no idea what he is going to say until he sits down and opens his file. This is what you Democrats in Massachusetts are electing every few years. Chuckie Schumer. He tells you before hand how you need to answer the questions and if you do not do as he says you will not get his votes regardless of your qualifications. Joseph biden is just an idiot.
