Well it was only a
matter of time before the Gulf Coast disaster was linked to John Roberts.
I just add it to the list of baseless fabrications the left has invented
to justify attacking Roberts. Now that our president has the rare
opportunity to appoint two judges the real fight begins. With the
appointment of John Roberts to the supreme court the left had a baby. With
his appointment as chief justice the left simply used it as a
justification to ask how he will rule on every possible case that could
come his way. We've already covered that. However the Democratic party is
preparing to have a total breakdown not witnessed since Mark Mcquire broke
down in front of congress and then soiled his second pair of briefs. Judge
Rehnquist was a staunch conservative who paved his own road and moved the
court ever so slightly to the right. This is not seen as a threat to the
Democratic party. If Judge Roberts turns out to be the Judge that most of
us think he'll be then it will be for the most part business as usual. Of
course the ultra left sees Roberts Repealing Roe VS Wade, rolling back
cicil rights and before the decade comes to a close we'll be cavorting
with druids and sacrificing nubile virgins on Thursday afternoons. Of
course in reality we'll end up with less congressional influence, and even
less judicial lawmaking.
The Mark Mcquire moment in question is of course the replacement of Judge Sandra Day O'Conner. At the moment her position seems more important than that of the position of Chief Justice. Judge O'Conner often served as the swing vote, and these swing votes are votes the left doesn't want to lose. These were the kind of votes that make the Democrats go all warm and fuzzy inside. Decisions such as refusing to overturn Roe VS Wade (As if any one case could define a judges legacy (okay A judge that refuses to legislate from the bench). And finding it unconstitutional to display a framed copy of the Ten commandments along side other historical documents. We're not even talking about nine tons of granite in the lobby of some court house...We're talking about a framed document, subtlety displayed on a wall alongside a copy of the constitution which for those who haven't read it recently does mention god. Yep. She was a real conservative. Like R. Kelly loves women over the age of twelve. That's what prompted Charles Schumer, the second most arrogant senator (behind Mr. Biden and in front of Mr. Ried) to say "We hope the president chooses someone thoughtful, mainstream, pragmatic someone just like Sandra Day O'Connor." They need another O'Conner- desperately Why? Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin...and I promise no more soiled underpants references. The supreme court is the Democrats last beacon of control. They have lost the presidency-twice, and now they have lost the congress. If they can't legislate from the legislature then they have to legislate from the bench. This is the only way that they can advance their agenda. Assuming they had an agenda, or any core beliefs, or any vision, or any plans. They don't. If they do they are keeping them well hidden. As I've stated many times in the past, the left complains, criticizes and obstructs any plan or idea by the Republican party. The problem is that besides being shrill and tiresome they never offer any alternatives. They screamed about the presidents plan to reform social security, but never came up with their own plan. They agree that Social Security is in trouble but never act. They screamed about the presidents tax cuts but never offered any real plan of their own to revitalize the economy. Now they criticize how the federal Government has handled the relief effort in the Gulf coast. They had decades where they could change the federal emergency plans but never did. This is why they are in a state over the court nominations. Deep down I really think that they know they have little chance of taking the Presidency in '08, or gaining any real seats in the '06 elections. They are out of touch, out of ideas, and out of sorts-and they know this.. Lets be honest here, These people had to have a meeting to establish what their core beliefs are! If you do not know what your core beliefs are then how can you have any clear agenda of what direction the country should go? Yeah we all know you want bush out of office. But then what? Hillary Clinton? What has she done for the state of New York? She is willing to spend millions of dollars of campaign money to fight for a Senate seat she will have to vacate in 18 months so she can challenge for the presidency. What kind of plan is that? I do not want to scare anybody but lets pretend for a moment that Democrats take control on 2008. Social Security will be within a decade of falling into insolvency and they have no plan to fix it. The economic surge we have enjoyed will vanish because they have no real plan to keep the economy going save for taxing everyone. That never works. They are supposed to be the party of the poor. However their only "plan" to help the poor is to funnel billions of dollars of taxpayer money into programs that do not work. If welfare which is a program that Democrats hold near and dear actually worked then we would have seen a dramatic drop in the poverty rates. We haven't. Scrap welfare or revamp it? Perish the thought! Any ideas then on how to decrease the poverty rates? I'm waiting. Instead we have rhetoric and lies and accusations and ubstructionism. It's panic, and they know it. And they have no idea how to fix it. Having two Judges appointed to the highest court in the land that will interpret the law will be the final nail in the coffin I guess you could say they are having a bad day -Bert |
