ATTENTION DEMOCRATS. READ THE CONSTITUTION

Nancy Pelosi. What a schmuck. Not just a schmuck but a big steaming pile of ignorance. What makes her ignorance even more unpalatable is that it is fueled by arrogance. this week she spoke ata a rally in San Francisco. She said that President Bush "should not abuse his power" and Congress should "exercise oversight over his power.''

She either has less knowledge of the constitution than Dick Durbin or she wants to be Queen. if it's the latter she needs to speak with Hillary Clinton.

Anyway let me see if I can figure this out..

The constitution grants Congress the power to ratify treaties, declare war, fund and regulate military forces, and make laws necessary and proper’ for the execution of all presidential powers. Does the necessary and proper clause give Pelosi and company power to override the presidents authority? No of course not. They do have the authority to defund policy such as the war or the Presidents plan to increase troop levels. This is truly the ultimate in power but we know them to be too weak to act on their ideals. Therefore they accuse the President of overstepping his boundaries. The Democrats are always on about the need for checks and balances. Ironically the Constitution does in indeed supply the checks and balances but for the President and the Congress.

Let me give you an example...

The left, thanks to the New York Times has been crying about the NSA program. You know the deal. Our civil liberties are being trampled on, domestic spying, eavesdropping, fear mongering ETC. Congress has the Constitutional right to defund that very program.

They haven't.

Why are they crying then?

George W Bush.

To the Democrats the Iraq war is not about Iraq, or Terrorists, or National security. It's about George W Bush. End of story. Whatever he decides they will want the opposite. They want power and now they have it. The cannot stop Bush from doing anything in Iraq. They can however cut off funding but that would not be popular publicly. all they can do is pretend Bush is abusing his authority. Until he actually he does there is no hope for impeachment or surrendering in Iraq.

President Bush's policies are not popular with the left. Mainly because that don't have any of their own. They have been in power for two weeks and we still have no idea what they want besides higher taxes, socialistic healthcare, and the deconstruction of big business in America. They criticized Bush for supposedly not having plan in Iraq. He changes course and they then criticize him for his plan. He can't win. What is their plan? Don't ask. They get mad if you do, but mostly they get mad because they can't control the executive branch's policy...

Read the constitution.
