| I'm happy for the Democrats. They have finally succeeded in pulling
out of something. The pull out of Iraq is not going so well. Neither is
the plan(s) for pulling out of Iraq. According to the latest Democrat news
conference outlining the newest plan(s) a 180 day redeployment starts at
the beginning and at the end of July 2007, 2008, and according to Murtha
1997. I think they were making it up as the went along. The pull out of the FOX sponsored Democratic news debate was an altogether different story. Their withdrawal was swift and efficient. Moveon.org sent out their marching orders via carrier parrot and the Democrats obeyed with stunning discipline. Speaking out against your military commander is encouraged but speaking out against Moveon and company is verboten. You can't say the Democrats are dumb. They deftly secured Roger Ailes joke about Obama as their reason for cutting and running. Fox news is biased. That has been the liberal mantra for years. By biased they mean pro American and providing both sides of the story. Edward was the first of the candidates to claim FOX is biased. Apparently FOX is not biased enough to appear on the network more than 30 times. Fox employs democratic strategists and pundits such as Laura Shwartz, and Kirsten powers. Bob Beckel is a regular guest as well. Who are the Conservatives on MSNBC? Joe Scarborough and he's a bit Dodgy. CNN has Glen Beck and that is it. Let's assume for a moment that FOX is as biased as the networks. Why can't the Liberals simply watch the debate and make up their own minds? Liberals seem to be worried about the FOX commentators spinning the debate but when was the last time you heard a play by play during a presidential debate? Why can't the Liberals simply watch the debate and then switch over to Desperate housewives? No. They caved to the netroots and used Ailes as an excuse even though Ailes was making fun of Bush not Obama. The problem is The far left is afraid a FOX led debate would legitimize the network with Democratic voters. They have now lost their chance to put their ideas before millions of Red State voters Perhaps that is what they don't want it to happen. Seems to me that the Democrats are afraid to make their true agenda known. If any Democrats fully admitted the Democratic platform the party would collapse like a flan in a cupboard. With a Brit Hume type person moderating the event questions like "What are the possible consequences if we withdraw from Iraq?". Or even worse for them "How will you pay for your nationalized healthcare plan?" Democrats can't afford to be put on the spot. -Bert |
