WHERE IS THE VALARIE PLAME OUTRAGE

MSNBC is still running programs centered around "Who leaked Valerie Plames identity". It may be because of their lack of new ideas or simply because they are desperate. Being that Keith Overbite is down to six viewers I'd say desperation is the order of the day. We still get blurbs in the paper about the case and of course there is Vanity Fair's new piece with the couple in question in very film noir photo op. If there is one way to protect your privacy it's a film noir type photo op in Vanity fair. is there anyone left in the US that takes them seriously? It has become obvious that Plame was not really covert and in fact had been a piloting a desk in Washington for the past five years. I think I have more covert status than her. And yet the media still needs to know who leaked her name.
Two weeks ago The New York Times ran an article about a secret spy program. The article itself is bogus and I have already covered that. But the fact remains classified information was leaked. Now unlike Valerie Plame this is a serious national security matter and yet not one media outlet has demanded an investigation into where the leak came from. A serious crime has been committed here and I can't even get the Bush Administration to do it. There seems to me to be a major attempt to destroy the Patriot act and whether you support it or not the fact remains we have had no further attacks on our soil since it's inception. I would have expected the government to want to get to the bottom of this but instead they are using a lot of energy to figure out how to defend this once secret program.
Why?
The Majority of Americans think the program should be allowed and consider it legal.

The Democrats are under the impression than god himself wandered into the senate floor and handed them this golden opportunity. The word Impeach is once again being bandied about. As always the left is watching the polls but not reading the polls.. By attempting to impeach Bush on the spying program they will once again seem soft on National Security by the majority of Americans who approve of the measure. This situation should play itself out in Bush's favor. Five days after the story was published his polls were at 50%. Bush should be concentrating on who leaked the information.
What I find most appalling is that the media is packaging this as "how will this affect the Bush Administration?". The question should be "How will this effect National security?". The main stream media is more concerned with advancing the liberal agenda that they are blind to the damage they are doing. For example...
USA TODAY: "Some Democrats say parts of Bush's approach threaten Americans' privacy, especially his decision to forgo warrants when eavesdropping on certain telephone conversations."

Threaten Americas privacy? That's one hell of a spin. And the words "Certain Telephone conversations" sort of debunks the whole idea that Bush is running roughshod over our privacy's.
The rage the left is exhibiting over the supposed violation of our civil liberties somehow negates the fact that now the Terrorists are aware of what we are doing. When dirty bombs begin popping off like champagne corks your worries will be more than a few monitored phone calls...
