| Oh dear oh dear. Hillary's not too happy. I mean more unhappy than
usual. At least we now know why she is so concerned about the troops in
Iraq. It's not that she cares if any of them die. It's not that she cares if Iraq succumbs to the insurgents. It's simply that if we don't surrender now she, if elected president will have to deal with it and pretend she cares about foreign policy. "I really resent the fact American troops may be tied up in Iraq in January 2009' Of course you do considering that you and the rest of the Democratic party promised to bring the troops home yesterday. They have been in power one month and the best they can muster is a non binding pretend vote on funding for the troop increase. Not the war itself. What Mrs. Clinton does not understand is that if we leave Iraq now and Iraq is overrun then we will end up going back in a few years after Al-Qeada solidifies Iraq as it's base. In other words she would have to deal with Iraq anyway. He plan involves cutting funding support for Iraq as well. She wants to not only withdraw troops but stop the funding that is being used to train the Iraqi army. Brilliant. If we are to go with Hillary's logic than why did her husband leave President Bush such a foreign policy mess? Clinton should have taken out Osama Bin Laden simply because he did not want to leave Bush with a headache. Richard Nixon would never have inherited Vietnam. it would have been oveR. LBJ would never be so crass as to leave him that sort of mess. -Bert |
