TOGETHER, WE STRIVE FOR MEDIOCRITY
| Ah yes dear reader the Democrats field tested, Murtha approved
slogan for the year "Together we can do better" has been scrapped after a
blistering 6 week trial. No one noticed. Then again no one noticed when
they trotted it out with their plan for American security called..."Real
security". You know the plan, win in Iraq, catch Bin Laden, secure
everything, the usual. No description of how just a Kerry like laundry
list....I have a plan..... Anyway the slogan which took months to come up with has been replaced with another slab of mediocrity. "A new direction for America" and packaged with this new and improved slice of mediocrity was a short list of how the Democratic party will make America better. Higher minimum wage, lower gas prices, and energy independence, making college affordable, and Ensuring a Dignified Retirement. and...well that's it. They are going to make America better, make a world leader once again by forcing employers to pay their people more. By forcing universities to lower their tuition, by forcing oil companies to lower their prices, and by telling senior citizens how to use their social security. No mention of the war on terror, or immigration. Nope. Illegal will be making 56 dollars an hour, go to school for 3 dollars a month and of course vote Democrat. How do they plan on achieving lower gas prices? We know they are totally against drilling in ANWR because a few pigeons may get annoyed. Well they plan to crack down on price gouging. I suppose they will develop an army of Birkenstock wearing, hybrid car driving Liberal Arts majors to drive around and take notes of all the gas prices. They then take the notes to the mathematics department and fudge the numbers until they can say without threat of honesty that the oil company executives need to be brought back in front of the Senate. Once there they will be told as to why they need to profit less then the 10 cents per dollar that they make now. in fact lets just take all their money and criminalize capitalism. You hear that Wal Mart? You're next! So we can't drill what do we do? Oh yes. Spend billions on a non existent wonder fuel. Since when is it the job of the government to regulate tuition? I, like most people am paying back school loans but making my education less expensive is not going to encourage me to vote for a specific party. And once again we are back to Social Security. The Democrats did much chest thumping when they were successful at blocking the Presidents plan to privatize a portion of each persons Social security. However when the dust settled and the chest thumping ceased they Democrats failed to offer an alternative. Sure they agree Social Security will soon disappear but they had no plan of their own. It looks like more taxes. and let's be honest here, Democrats would never allow a portion of our social security to be privatized I mean we could never be trusted with our own money now could we? No, we need a really large government agency to oversee the already really big government agency known as Social Security. You get the general idea. Higher paid illegal aliens, lower tuition for said illegal and crucifixion for those dreaded oil executives. A sensible plan for a sensible America. Of course there is their plan for Iraq which calls for a troop withdrawal but no set timetable. So unless I am mistaken the Democrats plan is ...BRING THE TROOPS HOME.....EVENTUALLY" I like it! -Bert |
