Speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi cannot be corrupt. She said so. She also said she would run the most above board congress in history. She said she would drain the swamp of corruption. She said so and so we must believe her.

The problem here is that if we believe she is the most honest politician since Richard Nixon then we must believe that she is the dumbest person to enter congress since Dick Durbin. We are left with no other conclusion. Someone cannot be as dumb as she has acted.

Put aside all the political rhetoric. let's just look at common sense. When your campaign is based on anti Corruption and a new direction for the war you choose a upstanding Congressman for the majority leader position and your new direction for Iraq should be involved in your big 100 hours. Instead she backed Mr. Abscam John Murtha for the Majority position, and decided to tackle such national concerns as School loans. That's right. Her plan for national security is raising the minimum wage. Brilliant. When the Right balked the left waved it off as no big deal. The Conservatives posited that she is as corrupt as the man she supported. The Liberals dismissed that as nonsense. So if she isn't corrupt she must be stupid.

The intelligence committee. This little group handles some of the most sensitive data and documents. It makes sense that the people assigned to the committee should be the cleanest of the clean. Someone who has the experience and understands the issues. They should be expert on terrorism, homeland security and foreign affairs. Someone like Democratic Congresswoman Jane Harman. Ms. Pelosi’s first pick is impeached judge Alcee Hastings. She's not corrupt. She must be an idiot.

This of course does not apply to American Samoans who work in the Star-Kist tuna packing plant making $3.75 an hour. The Democrats rammed through a Minimum wage bill that included everyone except these very same Samoans. Curiously enough her husband Paul Pelosi has 17 million Del Monte share. Del Monte owns Star-Kist. She claims she was not aware of the tiny amendment.

No problem. She's not corrupt. She and idiot then...
