| Ah yes they were in rare form today .
A captive audience. A funeral will do that. And what better place to
corner your audience than an funeral? where better to lose more political
ground and so close to an election. Part of me is disgusted, and part of me is amused. But all of me is proud of the classy performance of our president. He resisted the temptation to defend himself. He even hugged the Reverend Lowery after he finished bashing him. Why I don't know. And good old Jimbo Carter still bitter because he is and will always be considered a Mullahs Bitch. Mr. blame America made references to MLK being wiretapped by the white house. In fact it was Jack, and Bobby Kennedy, not the white house. He forgot that bit. Senility? maybe. I think he was senile when he took office. Only an idiot or a Liberal loon will not be able to see the difference between wiretapping terrorists and bugging a civil rights leaders hotel room. So what do we have? A no win situation for President Bush. If he did not attend he would have been lambasted. He did in fact attend and what happened? he was put in a very uncomfortable position. He was blamed for Hurricane Katrina, and the plight of poor blacks in this nation. Oh by the way there was a funeral going on. Corretta Scott King was being honored, well she was supposed to be however Jimmy Carter who is quickly becoming the new face of the Democratic party took a few cheap shots And I'm waiting for Democrats to come out and denounce his remarks and those of Reverend Joseph Lowery. Joseph Lieberman had his chance this morning but shied away. How about prominent Black Democrats. Shouldn't they be offended? Of course not. I know Obama won't be. He had no problem with Hillary Clinton's 'plantation' remark. Either that or he complained and was bitch slapped by her. Everyone was reminded of the Wellstone incident and to be honest I hope it has the same results... -Bert |
