| That's right dear reader the another non scandal has emerged with the
aim of discrediting the Bush administration. In their latest attempt to
"get" the president they have begun squealing because the Bush
administration fired 8 attorney generals. Now anyone who is not a steaming liberal understands that the president appoints these attorneys and they serve at his pleasure. just like any cabinet appointee. Naturally the next assumption is that the president will appoint those who have a similar agenda as the president and follow the presidents lead. So, logic leads us to the conclusion the president has the right to fire any of these attorneys if they are not performing their job as the president sees fit. It's his legal right to do so. That aside there is the minor issue of separation of powers. Without any real substantial evidence that a crime was committed the courts will not allow the Democrats to go on a fishing expedition. Considering the offer the white house made the Democrats are coming off looking as if they're looking to grandstand. But all those whining by the liberals is not surprising. The pressure has been slowly building since they took control of congress. They promise a lot. Mostly the promised to render President Bush impotent. two months on Bush has continued with his plans to send more troops to Baghdad despite the Lefts demands he stop. Bush drew a line in the sand and the Democrats balked. They threatened to cut off funding. Bush drew another line in the sand and the Democrats balked. Mitch McConnell has proven to be the most effective Minority leader in years. Frustrating Harry Ried at every turn by keeping the GOP united on the issue of Iraq. The Democrats have been slowly steaming. This issue of the 8 attorneys was the last straw. The President quite rightly defended his presidential privileges and the Left exploded right on cue. It's revenge. Pure and simple. -Bert |
