In the news today there
have been several stories relating how Arabs see our criticism over the
sale of ports to an UAE company.

Alani, security expert at the UAE's Gulf Research Center, said the furor
over the impending sale was driven by politicians trying to thwart the
U.S. government's drive to mend ties with Arab states.

Obviously US-Arab relations have been strained since
9/11 and so the question we need to ask ourselves is this: Are we afraid
of Islam?
Damn right we are!
And why not? We were attacked by Arabs
in the name of Islam, We have had riots all over the world because of
cartoons published in Denmark. And we are still the target. The Dutch
publish cartoons and we get the blame. The Muslims have killed several of
their own people in the process including an eight year old boy...All in
the name of Islam. Iran say it can use nuclear weapons in the name of
Islam. And Israel must be destroyed...all in the name of Islam. I do not
want my ports blown up...all in the name of Islam. I am on the fence on
this issue but I still do not trust any Muslim and for one simple reason:
They’re lack of outrage for the way the radical Muslims are acting. Oh
sure I've heard the "Most Muslims are peaceful", or "Islam is a peaceful
religion" If that's the case why haven't any Islamic leaders in this
country issue a Fatwa or an order to stop the violence? it would be
ignored but it would at least show they are truly against the violence.
polls in Britain and Jordan show that although most Muslims would not
commit acts of violence they understand why these extremists do it. So I
can say I would never murder a Jew but I understand why Hitler did what he
did and that does not make me an anti Semite? This boggles my mind. Why
have we not had protests in this country to show that the "peaceful"
Muslims are sickened by the violence committed by fellow Muslims in a
religion that is supposedly against violence?
Yes they frighten
me.
