TIMING IS EVERYTHING
7/16/2008
Some people just don't get it.
Seriously, no matter how obvious the clues may be they just seem to go
through life oblivious to the blinders they have glued to their
person.
for five years the most important issue to the American
voter was the Iraq war. With this said Republican nominee John McCain has
traveled to Iraq several times. Usually with Joe Lieberman and not the
network news. At the moment, or to the point the past several moments and
predictably the next thousand several moments the main issue on the mind
of the American voter in the economy and most notably the rise in fuel
prices. John McCain, and the GOP have been pushing for expanded oil
exploration, or more to the point any oil exploration. On top of that have
been renewed calls for reinvestment into alternative energy development.
Right on cue the left lead by Nancy Pelosi not only refuse to debate the
issue but propose more taxes on gas. A move that would raise the price
even more.
So Barack Obama has done what any Democrat nominee for
the President of the United States would do to help further the debate on
rising fuel costs...
He's going to Iraq...
8 months too late
but better late than never. Especially if you are on the wrong end of the
current issue. So while Obama is in Iraq overseeing the success he is yet
to admit has occurred, and in between presidential speeches to those crazy
Germans his party will be stumbling even more to put forth an energy
policy involving drilling for oil where there is none and hoping on
alternatives that may or may not succeed in twenty years.
I suppose
I would run for cover as well considering many of the Democrats, fearing
for their lives are changing their position. Those Environmentalists can
be...well...mental.
