Well Fred ended his run twenty minutes before it started. We barely knew you Senator, however the race is down to three. No my math is not off. I don't expect Huckabee to maintain his momentum. McCain will continue to milk the war and his Hero shtick but will ultimately fail in front of the base. In the meantime he will battle it out with Romney and Giuliani.

We will have a better idea of how the race will play out after Florida. Rudy has all his oranges in the Sunshine basket where he is currently in second place. His goal has been to focus on Florida where there a lot of retired New Yorkers, New York where he still is very popular, New Jersey where he maintains similar popularity, and California. Romney who has run the closest thing to a National Campaign should do well since the Economy is the main issue with Florida voters. This is his issue and it propelled him in Michigan.

McCain is leading at 23.3 percent but this is a closed poll. Only Registered Republicans can vote. The meat of McCain's voting bloc are independent-and he carried less in South Carolina than he did in 2000. Florida will be a great indicator of how the Republican base will treat McCain.

Both Huckabee and Giuliani have money issues. Rudy is in a position to pad his coffers with a win in Florida and the media attention that comes with it. With that said he needs this victory to stay afloat.
