DON'T SHOOT THE MODERATOR 11/01/2007
I have
always held the thought that Hillary was a political lightweight. She got
by simply being prepared and rehearsed. Of course never being challenged
we really didn't know how she could handle pressure.
The Wednesday
debate showed us she can't, and she doesn't think she has to.
The
issue of driver licenses for illegals could possibly be the turning point.
In fact the fallout seems to show that it was. She took a hit on the issue
and the debate itself, and has further damaged her campaign by blaming
everyone but herself. She claimed Tim Russert was out of line and broke
the rules, she blames the Network. Brian Williams and the other
candidates.
She was asked a yes or no question and she gave a
speech. She pressed ONCE to clarify that. She couldn't, she's mad. Mad
that someone would expect her to answer a question she didn't want to
answer. She flip flopped on the issue twice in two minutes and then again
48 hours later. It's taken a toll.
Now her staff are taking calls
from supporters who want Tim Russert shot. What happened to distancing
herself from the far left? The truth is she hasn't. Universal Healthcare,
baby bonds, Licenses for illegals. In her own words " I have a million
ideas. America can't afford them".
Clinton had started down a steep
hill and I'm not sure she can put the brakes on.
