YET... That's right folks. Step away from the ledge, put down the bottle of arsenic and lay the bazooka on the coffee table. All is not lost. Senator John McCain has been given yet another lifeline and even he can't screw this one up. McCain has taken a beaten these last few week thanks to a very unforgiving economy. Helped not at all by his erratic and incoherent economic statements. He has though a very simple and sound message regarding this issue. Barrack Obama will destroy the economy with his tax and spend policies. Unfortunately for the senator from Arizona his message has been coming through in a foreign tongue. Then along comes Joe. Joe the plumber. An average man in average America ,with an average job. Talking about how Obama's wealth redistribution will effect his efforts to start his own business. John McCain has been trying in vain to argue that Obama will hurt middle America. Well Joe the Plumber just put a face on that argument. And no one can take that away from McCain. not even McCain. Of course this does not mean Obama will lose. McCain will have to continue to hammer the tax issue for the next 20 days. But Joe did what McCain could not do. Directly link Obama's tax policy to those it would adversely affect. Those people are not wealthy either. Aside from that the polls are not as dire as the antique media portrays them to be. In fact they highlight a very interesting situation. Barrack Obama is supposed to be the transformational candidate. A intelligent, articulate man who is a uniter. He has the entire antiquated media on his side. He has outspent McCain, and out raised McCain by a figure of 10 to 1. We are at the end of 8 years of Republican rule where we have had an unpopular war and are currently facing a recession. Bush is unpopular and McCain is perceived to be another Bush. The GOP lost their majority in 2006 and the country is desperate for change. According to the media Obama will carry Democrats, Independents, Moderates, Jews, Blacks, Wealthy White People, Educated White People, Hispanics, Gays, Seniors, and the Women. SO then, why is it that Obama cannot break 48 percent in the polls? Why is it he is ahead by roughly 3-5 percentage points? What exactly has 650 million dollars bought Obama? 14 days to go and the race is far
from a done deal for Obama.
