THEY JUST DON’T GET IT

John McCain. Remember him? He’s the third guy running for
President. Aside from Hillary Clinton, and Barrack Obama he’s been
campaigning for votes across the country. And although no one has noticed
due to the media’s creepy love affair with Obama John McCain as gained
another 11 electoral votes. Putting him 43 behind Obama 238-185. This puts
even more onus on the Illinois Senator’s speech tonight.
There is no
secret to Obama’s stagnation and McCain’s subsequent steady climb. Obama
has an image problem. John McCain IS a war hero, an ex-POW, and has 28
year voting record in Congress. Barrack Obama THINKS he is a Statesman,
Diplomat, sitting President, and now Greek God. And all this after 143
days in his first real job. A large portion of the Democrat demographic
see this and now the smoke and mirror show is over they are asking
questions. Who is he? What will he do? What does he believe? The dog and
pony show worked in the primary but not in the General. Obama’s already
proved he can lure tens of thousands of supporters to his rallies. What he
hasn’t proven to anyone of whether or not he can attract the lunch pail
Democrats that nearly propelled Hillary Clinton into the nomination.
The Obama campaign claims it understands this but after looking at
the stage for his acceptance speech one tends to surmise that Obama’s ego
is still running his campaign. I’m not that familiar with Greek Mythology
but I am quite sure Zeus and Hera never punched a clock or bundled Hermes,
Athena and the rest of the clan into the mini van and take them to soccer
practice and piano lessons.
Thanks to the Clinton’s clever and deft hijacking of the convention there is even more pressure on Obama to deliver the speech of a lifetime. Add to that Bill Clinton, in his speech raising the bar to a level Obama could never reach as President it’s painfully obvious Oprah Winfrey, Sheryl Crow, and the rest of the elite will not help Obama connect with middle America. Only Barrack can do that. The ancient Greek façade will not help
